The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the stats on weapons, armors and trinkets. It also has some unique effects and special effects.
Most upgrades increase stats linearly, for example a level 20 Muscle Band will give an additional attack, and +.5% attack speed. The system also has the potential to fail, which will consume all upgrading materials.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a kind of upgrade component that can be put in gathering tools to provide bonus effects or improvements. They can be purchased on the market or retrieved from dungeons or Helltides. It is a great chance of negating the order marker on an opponent's card, which gives the player a slight advantage in the initial stages. The impact of this glyph diminishes when more units are added to the board, and the possibilities to defuse a unit are reduced.
Other glyphs can have an impact directly on the control of maps. The glyph of Valda for instance, increases the distance of ranged units by 1. This is a significant improvement for many units who struggle with slow movement rates (such the Marro Stinger Line or 4th Massachusetts). In addition to these units, this glyph also is effective on melee units that might have difficulty in getting into the right position to deal with damage.
Some glyphs, like the Discretionary Ligatures glyph, are created to improve the appearance of fonts. They also feature additional characters beyond the standard set. This is usually done to make the font look more realistic or to add extra embellishments.
Players can create their own Glyph Set by selecting the glyphs they wish to include in it from the list of glyphs in the Glyphs panel and choosing to add them to the Glyph Set in the Glyphs panel menu. After adding a custom Glyph Set, players can access it by clicking View Glyph Set within the Glyphs Panel menu, and then selecting the name of that glyph Set.
Growthstones
They are similar to berries in that they increase your attributes forever, but unlike berries they increase all your attributes, excluding HP. Growth Stones can be obtained through completing certain events in the game, or by combining two of them in the Nitro Cube. You can also collect them as a reward during the Ancient Arena Season.
You can use these on your armor or weapon by going to the Equipment Enchanting menu. You can also craft them in major towns by visiting different NPCs using the correct recipe. There are many different kinds of Growth Materials and each can be used for different reasons. Weapon Growth Stones can be used to upgrade weapons, while Armor Growth Stones can be used to improve armor. There are also item upgrades and Passive Skill Growth Books that can be used to improve your passive or active skills.
These stones resonate with certain human qualities inside you, making them stronger. They will not make you a better or different person, but they provide you with an extra boost of energy to confront whatever aspect of your personality you want to change. It is your responsibility to make real changes within yourself. This involves changing your attitude toward the thing you would like to change. Item Enhancers

These events in-game specials will distribute Item Enhancers to mark a milestone, or they may be offered as part of challenges that have a set duration.
The stats of the majority of items increase linearly as they are upgraded. However, the final stats of a held item can be greater than twice the value it was when it is at its maximum. For instance the Muscle Band increases its attack and defense stats by +1 every time it is upgraded to level 2, but at level 20, the stats are +15 attack and +7.5 percent attack speed.
The cost of these Item Enhancers is steep however they are essential for anyone looking to maximize their performance in Pokemon Unite. It is a major pain to get all of the Held Items upgraded to the highest level however, those who are patient and committed will eventually succeed.
