World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The feature of upgrading items allows players to boost the item level for weapons that can be equipped or armor. This improves the power of the equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rerolling an affix.
It is important to keep in mind that upgrading common gear is not always worth the cost. Rare and exclusive equipment will soon surpass modernized equipment and magic.
Cost
When a player upgrades an item, they must spend Gold to do so. The cost to upgrade an item varies based on the item's current level and the type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are typically less expensive than upgrades to armor, since weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold needed increases as an item is upgraded.
A newly upgraded item will also have increased stats, which can boost its performance in various ways. This could include increasing its attack power or critical strike chance. An upgraded item may also provide additional buffs to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades can be used to increase the overall strength of a group or unit, and can be a major influence on the gameplay.
Items can be upgraded by any item upgrader NPC in the game. These NPCs are located in the major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also find upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses and by chatting with NPCs in their faction's garrisons.
The system of upgrading items in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the level of armor, weapons, and trinkets. This process is largely identical to the process used for gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the currency appropriate to the task, players must visit an item upgrade r NPC to complete the process.
Upgrades can be costly especially for armor and weapons. Depending on the upgrade track each step in level of the item could cost several Valorstones or crests. The total cost can be a major burden for players who don't have the resources or are unable to grind them.
Fortunately the game lets players reroll an upgraded item with an exclusive tool within the items menu. This option replaces the upgraded item with a level 1 version that has different bonus effects. This can be useful to gain better results on items which are already upgraded. However, it could also be a waste.
Requirements
The process of upgrading equipmentable items like weapons, armor and trinkets is to increase the level of the item. This can increase their stats which makes them more powerful in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate currency at a NPC who sells upgrades for items. Players must be aware of the fact that some upgrades require special requirements.
The initial upgrades only boost the stats of the base item by one level, but later upgrades give more substantial increases. For instance upgrading a weapon from level three to level six will increase the weapon's damage by two levels. In addition, the upgraded item will be awarded an additional stat that is based on its tier. This bonus is a combination of a guarantee extra substat as well as a random stat that can change in value from upgrade to upgrade.
Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item which has been upgraded. The new item will have a different set of extra bonuses as well as a lower base item level. The rerolled item will have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the item rerolled will not be able to maintain its strength or use any wasted resources.
Rerolling upgraded items is only possible if the item that was upgraded was an Epic Rare, Rare or Unique. Extraordinary items can also be eligible for rerolling, but their original stats will be replaced with an uninvolved bonus. To upgrade a piece equipment, you must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. You will need Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 can be dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time is a factor.
Items upgrades can be used to increase the stats of your gear and ship without having to level them. Although upgrading isn't cheap, it can be a good way to improve your stats without having to spend as much time in combat. It's important to know the costs and benefits before investing your time or money.
Each upgrade increases the base stat of an item by a certain amount, and also offers the chance for a bonus substat increase. The extra substat is random and may range from a small increase in one statistic to a much greater increase in another. Concentrate on the things that perform best in slot first. They will give you a higher returns for your money.
You can check the time required to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting a weapon, ship, or accessory. The upgrade window will then show the progress and anticipated completion time. In some instances you may be in a position to speed the process by using a Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a high-level salvage kit that permits you to salvage all or part of the upgrade components. Rewards

Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is in use. Some upgrade components also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. Players can also recover upgraded items using an upgrade extractor or salvaging with a high tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are positioned on tools for gathering can be swapped freely.
By selecting the item and pressing the green button that has a rerolling arrow players can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This alters the layout of the item window and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item will be replaced by a level 1 item. Recycled items don't keep their current level or amount of resources needed to upgrade them.
The highest level of upgrade an item can achieve is determined by its tier and the quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded up to level nine, whereas common items are only upgraded up to level six. Item upgrades are added to the base statistics of the item and do not increase after a specific point.
